Halcyon Days - What Is Halcyon Days?

Halcyon Days is this site, and encompasses all that you see within it. This site has been designed to resemble the instruction manual of Rockman DASH. Below is an image of one of the pages to give you the idea.

Halcyon Days is the name chosen for the site obviously, taken from DASH. DASH as in Rockman DASH, which stands for Digouter's Adventure Story in Halcyon Days. By using Halcyon Days as the name, we hope to convey the relation of this site to the world of Legends (DASH) and its locations and people, rather than the games and such. For those who do not know, definition-wise, Halcyon refers to peaceful, properous times, as in a golden era.

Last and most importantly, Halcyon Days is the name for what this site is all about; Halcyon Days is a story written in the "choose your own adventure" style. This means that as you read you are able to make certain decisions along the way which will have certain effects, and lead to various places and multiple endings. And of course being Halcyon Days, the setting for the adventures is the world of Mega Man Legends.
So aside from choosing your own path, what makes this different from any old fan fiction out there? For one thing, this story does not revolve around Legends characters, it just takes place in the Legends world. In other words, readers won't be cringing when Roll Casket is out of character, because she's not in the story. Yes the story will revolve all around "fan" characters, but hopefully people will not look down upon these characters with the distaste which many fan characters have brought about.
However, as the story takes place in a familiar world, we want the experience to be comfortable, and so the characters will also have intentional resemblances to those you know. Not to worry though, this is the world of Legends so you WILL see familiar faces throughout the story, it just doesn't revolve around the Casketts and Bonnes, etc.
Finally, there is also the angle that this story is being written by multiple writers, each correcting each other, and building off of one another's ideas. This style of writing should hopefully keep any one writer's "eccentricities" from creeping through too much, and thus the result will be a professional level story.
